Hi, I'm Daphne.

I've always been fascinated by why people do what they do. Why do we stay in relationships that hurt us? Why do certain experiences continue to affect us years later? Why do we repeat patterns even when we know they aren't serving us?

These questions ultimately led me to become a therapist.

Before becoming a therapist, I worked as a mental health case manager within the criminal justice system, supporting individuals facing significant mental health challenges and complex life circumstances. That experience reinforced the importance of understanding people within the context of their experiences rather than reducing them to their symptoms, diagnoses, or mistakes. It also deepened my understanding of trauma, resilience, and the powerful role that environment plays in shaping our lives.

Today, I work primarily with adults experiencing ADHD, anxiety, trauma, relationship difficulties, grief, and life transitions.

Many of the people I work with are thoughtful, self aware adults who have spent years trying to understand themselves. They often recognize patterns in their relationships, emotions, or behaviors but still feel stuck repeating them. Therapy can help transform insight into meaningful change.

Clients often tell me they appreciate that I am both compassionate and direct. While I provide support and validation, I also believe growth sometimes requires challenging old assumptions, examining patterns honestly, and trying new ways of responding.

My approach is informed by CBT, DBT, EMDR, mindfulness based interventions, and attachment focused work. Rather than applying a one size fits all model, I tailor therapy to each person's unique needs and goals.

Outside of therapy, I enjoy exploring the outdoors, creating pottery, traveling, and spending time with my rescue dog.

My goal is simple - to help you better understand yourself, develop healthier relationships, and feel more confident navigating life's challenges.

The connection between therapist and client is one of the most important parts of the therapeutic process. Research consistently shows that a strong therapeutic relationship is one of the strongest predictors of positive outcomes in therapy. For that reason, I place significant value on creating a relationship built on trust, authenticity, and collaboration.

My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable showing up honestly and exploring your experiences without judgment. Together, we'll build insight, navigate challenges, and work toward meaningful change.
